Dear Dad and Louise,
Just lately I've been getting my mail. On the 31st I received 8. (4 from you and one each from Rose Marie, Eula & Cliff, Frank Beveridge, and Mrs. Betty Bruegman.) Betty had a baby (a boy) on Sept. 22. Did she get my address from you. I don't think she knows yet that "Vic" is dead. I received a letter from Jimmy on the 2nd, one from Aunt Nell on the 4th and one each from Aunt Al, & Raymond on the 6th. Let them all know I appreciate their writing for I can't answer tham all. I'd like to know what Jr. is doing also Verne & Bill Read. Tell everyone that I would like to receive pictures in the letters. Let me know if any of my clothes get home and don't forget I want a set of "greens" (pant's and shirt). Also put in the parcels a lot of gum and clocolate. Box of cream of wheat. Baking powded and dried or dehydrated fruits and vegetables, I was sorry to hear about Uncle George. Tell Al that I said hello. By the way - postage in P.O.W mail is free to everyone. The stamps are torn off. Drop a line to Mr & Mrs Banaszek and let them know I'm all right. (I forget their address.)
Lots of Love, your son, Bob
